The Chevrolet car company was founded by Louis Chevrolet a Swiss race car driver, and General Motors Founder, William. C Durant on November 3rd 1911. The first model was introduced in the New York auto show in 1913 and the bowtie emblem was first used in 1914 on the H and L series models.
